Agustin Schang is an Argentine cultural producer, architect, curator based in New York. Through his practice at the intersection of art and architecture, he has collaborated on multiple cultural initiatives with institutions such as New Museum’s Ideas City; Friends of the High Line; Chicago Architecture Biennial, The Leslie-Lohman Museum; The Shed; Little Island @Pier55, CCCB Barcelona; Het Nieuwe Instituut Rotterdam, Istanbul Design Biennial, Fundación Proa; and Ministerio de Cultura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires.

Latest projects include NYC Free, a month-long cultural festival hosted at Little Island @Pier55; and The Mile-Long Opera, a citywide public engagement project which brought together 1,000 singers from across New York for free performances on the High Line. He recently joined Center for Art, Research and Alliances (CARA) as Producer and Exhibition Designer, helping develop the inaugural programming.

Previously, Agustin served as curator in residence at the Emily Harvey Foundation (2013-2018), the home of landmark performances by Fluxus and conceptual artists, as well as program manager and curator of public programs for Columbia’s GSAPP Incubator (2016-2019), a launchpad for new ideas and projects concerning architecture, culture, and the city in partnership with NEW INC + New Museum. Agustin trained as an architect at the Universidad de Buenos Aires and later received a master’s degree in Critical, Curatorial and Conceptual Practices in Architecture from Columbia University GSAPP.
