Agustin Schang is a cultural producer, architect, and curator based in New York whose work intersects art and architecture. His investment in collaboration has resulted in projects with the New Museum, Friends of the High Line, Columbia University, Americas Society Visual Arts, The Leslie-Lohman Museum, The Shed, Little Island @Pier55, CCCB Barcelona, the Chicago Architecture Biennial, the Istanbul Design Biennial, Fundación Proa, and the Ministerio de Cultura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Recent projects include producing the cultural festival NYC Free for Little Island @Pier55, and The Mile-Long Opera, a citywide public engagement initiative that brought together over one thousand singers from across New York City for a series of free performances on the High Line.
In 2022, he joined the Center for Art, Research and Alliances (CARA) in New York as Head of Production, where he collaborates closely with artists, creative leaders, and organizations across the performing and visual arts. Prior to taking on this role, Schang served as Curator-in-Residence at The Emily Harvey Foundation—a space known for hosting landmark performances by Fluxus and conceptual artists, and as Program Manager for Columbia’s GSAPP Incubator—a platform for launching new ideas and projects focusing on architecture, culture, and urbanism in partnership with NEW INC and the New Museum.
Schang holds an undergraduate degree in Architecture from the Universidad de Buenos Aires and a master’s degree in Critical, Curatorial, and Conceptual Practices in Architecture from Columbia University.

Agustin Schang es productor cultural, arquitecto y curador radicado en Nueva York, cuyo trabajo se sitúa en la intersección entre el arte y la arquitectura. Su apuesta por la colaboración ha dado lugar a proyectos junto al New Museum, Friends of the High Line, la Universidad de Columbia, Americas Society Visual Arts, el Leslie-Lohman Museum, The Shed, Little Island @Pier55, el CCCB Barcelona, la Bienal de Arquitectura de Chicago, la Bienal de Diseño de Estambul, Fundación Proa y el Ministerio de Cultura de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires. Entre sus proyectos recientes se destacan la producción del festival cultural NYC Free para Little Island @Pier55 y The Mile-Long Opera, una iniciativa de participación pública a escala urbana que reunió a más de mil cantantes de toda la ciudad de Nueva York en una serie de presentaciones gratuitas en el High Line.
En 2022 se incorporó al Center for Art, Research and Alliances (CARA) en Nueva York como Head of Production, donde colabora estrechamente con artistas, líderes creativos y organizaciones de las artes escénicas y visuales. Antes de asumir este cargo, Schang fue Curator-in-Residence en The Emily Harvey Foundation—un espacio reconocido por albergar performances históricas de artistas Fluxus y conceptuales—y Program Manager del GSAPP Incubator de Columbia, una plataforma dedicada al lanzamiento de nuevas ideas y proyectos enfocados en arquitectura, cultura y urbanismo, en asociación con NEW INC y el New Museum.
Schang es arquitecto, graduado en la Universidad de Buenos Aires, y posee una maestría en Critical, Curatorial, and Conceptual Practices in Architecture de la Universidad de Columbia.
